St. George, Utah, is named for the patron saint of golfing, a stately fellow who hit the desert links back when your caddy was a burro that had to pack your clubs and three days’ ration of water.
This year, skip Scottsdale — too hot! — leave Las Vegas — too many distractions! — and pass on Palm Springs — too many old guys! — and make your way through 10 St. George golf courses (for half the price of those other places!).

Falcon Ridge
Just across the Nevada border so you can try to win back the money you lose to the rest of your foursome.

Sunbrook
Shoot through black lava rock and if you hit a sand trap, at least it’s the pretty red kind.

Built in 1960, when woods were still made of wood, this 9-hole course is perfect if you’re short on time.
