Snowbird Overview

With its world-renowned Mountain School and family emphasis, Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort is the ultimate destination for nonstop fun.

Snowbird offers a 125-passenger Aerial Tram that zooms from an elevation of 8,100 feet to 11,000 feet in about 8 minutes, taking skiers to Hidden Peak and the infamous 2.5 mile Chip's Run. Along the way, skiers are transported into a fanciful world of spectacular scenery, amazing powder and superb customer service.

As a full-service resort, Snowbird focuses on both recreation and relaxation. Luxurious suites, outdoor heated pools, spa services, and ski-in/out lodging characterize just a few of Snowbird's amenities. A number of diverse restaurants, festivals, and retail opportunities give guests a full mountain community experience. Exciting mountain biking and hiking trails are among the popular summer activities available at Snowbird.

For the 2015/16 season, Snowbird has invested over $35 million into capital improvements. These projects include The Summit at Snowbird and an extensive remodel of The Cliff Lodge, a new RFID/Smartcard ticket system and increased snowmaking capabilities.

Snowbird is just 29 miles from Salt Lake International Airport.
