Explore Park City
Park City is a unique combination of easy access and remote appeal. At times you feel like you're hundreds of miles from the civilized world yet you're just 35 easy miles from the Salt Lake International Airport. Park City's turn-of-the-century character, as established by silver miners of old, is alive and well. A simple stroll past the shops, galleries, and restaurants on Historic Main Street is all it takes to bring back the romance of the Old West.
This year-round haven offers incredible skiing and boarding in the winter and endless recreational opportunities in the summer. Summer also brings cool, comfortable temperatures, a calendar full of concerts and events and wildflower-covered hills.
In the winter, whether you are cruising groomed trails, carving up a half-pipe, or cutting new powder, perfection is what everyone's after. Park City Mountain and Deer Valley Resort offer a combined 9,300 skiable acres, 396 trails and 55 lifts. And it all revolves around one of the most charming, historic and diverse ski towns ever to make a name for itself.
Another popular venue in both winter and summer is the
Utah Olympic Park. Here you can experience the incredible speed and g-forces of bobsled or individual rocket sled ride on the 1,335-meter bob/luge track. Or you can simply watch the athletes train or compete at speeds up to 80 miles per hour.
If the truth were told, shopping would probably be right behind skiing and snowboarding in terms of popular activities. Park City's eclectic shopping features everything from designer boutiques to sportswear and handcrafted furniture to brand names at the factory outlets.
Park City's recreational opportunities are almost abundant as the snow that falls on the winter slopes. Of course, skiing and snowboarding are some of the main attractions, but you will also find quality opportunities to golf, cross-country ski, bike, hike, horseback ride, fish, boat, and enjoy the wildlife.
