Moab: Basecamp for Arches & Canyonlands

Hike, bike, sleep & eat your way through Southeastern Utah

You can't go to Arches or Canyonlands National Parks without going to Moab. The town sits between the two and feeds, shelters and entertains the dusty masses that make pilgrimages to the Holey Land every spring and fall.

These parks give access to Utah's iconic Delicate Arch, the White Rim Trail and many other impressive feats of erosion, and Moab makes it all possible. It’s where you find river outfitters for your whitewater adventure and pizza for your post-hike cravings. It’s a little town (pop. 5,000) that caters perfectly to the crowds of devoted visitors who talk about the area in hushed tones. Lots of rental and outdoor retailer options, good food, fun shopping and the red dust gives everything a nostalgic warmth.
