Experience the red desert from mesa top to canyon bottom in your own vehicle on 40 different trails ranging in difficulty from 2-9. All trails in this nine-day event are guided by experienced, friendly trail officials.
The Easter Jeep Safari is a series of day long trail rides (make sure you register in advance). The safari lasts nine days, and participants provide their own four-wheel vehicle, food and fuel. If you show up the day of an event without registering, you can check at the registration desk at the Spanish Trail Area to see if there is any last-minute availability.
The Jeep Safari started in 1967 when the Moab Chamber of Commerce decided the jeeping community would be welcomed to rally on the Behind the Rocks Trail. The following year they added the Moab Rim trail, and participants were mostly Chamber members--just friends in the community enjoying jeeps on red rock. Now lots and lots and lots of people show up for the Jeep Safari, and you can join up. Find more information here.
