Eagle Point and Skywalk Grand Canyon

Stand 4,000 feet above the Grand Canyon floor on the Skywalk located at Grand Canyon West. The Skywalk extends 70 feet over the canyon edge in a horseshoe shape sidewalk. A magnificent steel structure supports and outlines the glass walkway which allows visitors to walk on the glass and look down into the canyon. Even though the engineering design will support over 70 million pounds, you still feel that you need to walk carefully as to not break the glass.

From the Skywalk, you can see the Colorado River far below and if you look close enough you can see river rafts floating by. You can also see the rim of a beautiful section of the Grand Canyon.

From the Skywalk you can see Eagle Point, a rock formation in the Grand Canyon rim that resembles an eagle in flight with its wings outstretched.

How to Get There

The Skywalk at Grand Canyon West is located on the Hualapai Reservation and is managed by the Hualapai tribe. Easiest access is from Las Vegas, Nevada. It is approximately 125 miles from Las Vegas and takes at least 2.5 hours to get there. There are scenic flights from Las Vegas and Boulder City that take you right into Grand Canyon West where you then board a motorcoach to the Skywalk.
