So you like mountains, huh? How about the Mount Olympus Wilderness area? Desolation Lake basically packs in all your favorite alpine terrain: pine trees, aspen trees, wildflowers, switchbacks, canopied trails, wide open meadows and a lake. And you'll hike along a well-maintained trail to boot. If you're a hardcore local, you'll trail run this a couple times a week, no sweat. Bring a picnic because you'll want to stay and enjoy the lake for sure.
