The trail begins with moderate switchbacks and beautiful overlooks of the valley before hikers reach the entrance to the canyon. This part of the trail is exposed with little shade. Once in the canyon, the route becomes shaded and undulates up and down along the creek with a couple of stream crossings, and a steady, moderate climb closer to the waterfall. The waterfall stands 40-foot tall at the end of the trail. There is a small pond in front of the waterfall to wade in. This is a great hike for all abilities with lots of points of interest for kids. This trail also accesses and connects with the Bonneville Shoreline Trail.
