As Donkey would say in the movie Shrek, "I like that boulder. That is a nice boulder." Restaurants & Picnics
If you're just passing through, there are several yummy restaurants to grab some food at. Our recommendation? Get some food and have a picnic at Anasazi State Park. Both your eyes and taste buds will fall in love.
You could stay weeks and still not have enough time to experience all of the outdoor adventures that Boulder has to offer. Take a hike, gallop on a horse or just enjoy the beautiful scenery in every direction.
Unlike most cities, Boulder doesn't have a downtown. It's a small town and any local you run into will be happy to point you in the right direction. Just enjoy the outdoors and hometown hospitality.
Must Visit Places
While staying in Boulder, there are so many amazing landscapes to see/hike/ATV/horseback ride across or do whatever other adventure you're craving. Just a handful of these places that you don't want to miss out on are Anasazi State Park, Burr Trail, Calf Creek Falls, Water Pocket Fold, Hells Backbone Road & Bridge and Boulder Mountain.
The Second Most Beautiful Highway
Highway 12 has breathtaking scenery each mile of the drive. Most of the highway can be driven on straight through, but the section of the highway in Boulder is a bit unique. This part of Highway 12 is explored more by taking off roads of the different trails, slot canyons and campsites in the area.
Artists & Artisans
Boulder has a plethora of local artists, and if you have the chance to see some of their work, it's breathtaking. Some of the work includes art galleries, local essential oils, paintings, hand made soaps, photography and local made jewelry.
