2018 Plein Air Art Invitational

ART IN ZION NATIONAL PARK November 5-11, 2018 – Come witness, enjoy and learn from acclaimed landscape artists as they share their talents and insights within the inspiring backdrop of Zion National Park. Hosted by Zion Forever Project.

Experiences and events include in-park demonstrations, instructive evening lectures and interactive wet-paint exhibits. We extend a welcome to all who seek beauty and wonder.

Wet-Paint Sale & Silent Auction Saturday, November 10

If you can only come for one day, Saturday is the one you won’t want to miss. Place silent bids on art created during week’s demonstrations & mingle with 24 invited artists as they paint new works. Admission is free with entrance to the park. Proceeds from art sales benefit Zion National Park.

Painting Demonstrations Monday through Thursday, November 5-8

Artists will give free one-hour demonstrations at scenic locations in and around the park.

Evening Lectures Tuesday through Thursday, November 6-8

Free evening lectures will be given by experts on art and its importance to the development of Zion National Park.

Studio Painting Exhibit & Sale September 1– November 11

Prior to Plein Air week, each participating artist will display two pieces at the Zion National Park Human History Museum. All paintings will be available for purchase in person or online.

Featured Painting Online Auction

Bill Cramer is the featured artist for our 2018 event. His spectacular painting “Sentinel Rising” (40 x30 Oil) will be unveiled and bids may be placed online prior to Plein Air Week. Watch ZionPark.org for more information about this event.
