This park is located at a pretty reservoir just north of Vernal. The reservoir has consistently good fishing and the park makes a great base camp for people exploring Dinosaur Country.

Steinaker Reservoir offers a paved boat ramp and fishing is good year-round for rainbow trout. During summer, largemouth bass fishing is good. The park offers sandy beaches, swimming, boating and water sports. It also offers a secluded campground overlooking the water.

Nearby attractions include Dinosaur National Monument, Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area, Red Fleet State Park and the Utah Field House of Natural History.

The campground here has sites suitable for tents and RVs up to 35 feet. Some have full RV hookups. The campground is located on a hill overlooking the reservoir and is very scenic.
