127 Hours in Utah
There are many things you can do in Utah in 127 hours. For Aron Ralston in 2003, he worked tirelessly to free himself from an 800lb. boulder that pinned his arm against the wall of a narrow slot canyon in Blue John Canyon in southeastern Utah. His amazing escape eventually led to cutting off his arm, squeezing through a tight slot canyon, rappelling down a 70 foot cliff, and continuing on for 6 miles through the canyon where he eventually found help.
On November 18, 2010, a group of us at Utah.com decided to visit the site in Blue John Canyon where Aron was pinned. We chose to do this the day before the major motion picture “127 Hours” was released in theaters. Checkout our experience.
