Snowmobiles & Holiday Events
Deep, dry powder has made Utah a famous ski and snowboard destination, and that same snow creates ideal conditions for snowmobiling in our mountains. Utah trails consistently rank with the best in North America.
This year there is more opportunity than ever to snowmobile in Utah, with more than 1,200 miles of trails being groomed through a combined effort involving Utah State Parks, the National Forest Service and other groups.
At utah.com, we have just completed an expansion of our snowmobile section. We now offer specific information about all of these trails, along with detailed topographical maps. Most of the information was compiled by State Parks, and is the most comprehensive and accurate info available about snowmobiling in Utah.
Utah offers a wide variety of snowmobiling opportunities, from quick afternoon trips at locations near our popular ski areas to extended tours that probe the backcountry, and even multi-day adventures.
If you are coming here to ski, or for any other purpose, consider adding a snowmobile tour to your itinerary. Half and full day guided tours are available from a number of venders. Those who want to go it on their own can rent machines for self-guided tours.
Our most popular trails are located just a short drive from Salt Lake City, and the adjacent ski resorts, and include Monte Cristo, Strawberry and Mirror Lake. People who don't mind driving a little farther will find great snow in Logan Canyon, up around Bear Lake, and along Skyline Drive through central Utah.
In southern Utah, the Cedar Mountain snowmobile complex, near Brian Head Ski Resort, is an easy drive from St George and Las Vegas.
Bryce Canyon is a winter sport playground and the East Fork snowmobile complex overlooks the national park from the west. It is also a popular destination for snowmobilers coming from St George and Las Vegas.
Let us help you plan a Utah ski or snowmobile vacation.
