Utah has snow!
Many of Utah's ski resorts are scrambling to open early after a series of major storms buried the slopes with more than five feet of powder — with more falling.
Brighton has lead the way and opened today, November 6. Many other resorts will follow quickly:
Meteorologists say we're in a "favorable precipitation pattern" and can expect more snow ever day or so through the forecast period.
Early indicators suggests this will be one of the best — and busiest — ski seasons every in Utah. Resort phones have been ringing off the hook since the snow began. Many lodging facilities near the resorts are already booked solid for the Christmas holiday season.
Our resorts, which drew rave reviews from the international press during the 2002 Olympic Games, have continued to expand and improve and are in great shape going into this season.
Utah Travel and Adventure, our sister company, arranges customized trips for people traveling to Utah. Our consultants specialize in ski packages and can still get you accommodations in or near resorts. They also put together national park tours, whitewater trips and houseboat vacations on Lake Powell. Houseboats are already booking out for prime summer weekends.
