Creation is a huge part of my life. The decision to major in art was an easy one, narrowing my focus was the difficult part. I have always loved capturing the human figure no matter the medium. Forms simplified & unique color palettes established themselves early in my aesthetics. Paper became a natural choice of medium for me. It allows me to create abstractly yet in a surprisingly descriptive way. The challenge of relaying movement to the viewer with such a static material keeps me working. Drawing & color are probably the 2 most important elements in my work. The implied duality of a modern graphic image generated with such a simplified almost jurassic form of creation, scissors & paper is unusual by today’s standards. I love the tension this opposition creates.
