Still have the Farmers Market itch even though summer is long gone? The Market does too! Now you have another chance to come shop for some of the best local products during the winter season at monthly Pop-Up Markets. This first of several markets will have a Thanksgiving focus so you can make sure to get ready for the big day! Chefs from Frida Bistro will be on-hand demonstrating meal ideas with local foods for Thanksgiving. Utah Food Bank will be accepting donations and the Salt Lake-based band Touchstone Coyote will perform throughout the day. There will also be an educational portion to help local growers and market vendors learn growing techniques for colder months with less light. Workshops on how to build hoop houses, high tunnels, greenhouses, what to plant for our climate, how to secure funds for expansion, storing late harvest vegetables and other winter methods will also be offered in this series.
