Folk Tunes of the Mormon Pioneers

Embracing a variety of traditional song, the folk music Blue Mountain plays has railroad, pioneer, Mormon Battalion, Nauvoo, and Restoration themes. The performance will roughly trace the chronological history of the LDS Church - from its origins in the East, to Salt Lake City and beyond, continuing on into the railroading and cowboy days. Audience participation is encouraged, and lyrics will be displayed so that everyone can sing along. It will be a historic and folkloric evening of learning and entertainment.
