This is a public art project that strengthens community, reaches underserved populations, and results in a cultural treasure for Salt Lake City. This long term art project began in 2005 as part of an ongoing neighborhood beautification, community building and revitalization of Salt Lake City's west side. Phase I resulted in 16 mosaic columns representing the diversity of the community. Phase II completes one side of the underpass with Mother Earth. Phase III (slated for completion summer 2012) will complete the underpass with Father Time. Located at the I-15 underpass on 300 North and 700 west, between the Jackson and Guadaloupe neighborhoods of Salt Lake City.
