Westminster Hosts Community Event: “The Global Dimension of Lati

As part of Hispanic Heritage Month, Westminster College is pleased to host “The Global Dimension of Latino Utah." The event invites English and Spanish-speaking community members alike to join in a conversation on how Utah Latinos are connected to a larger global populace.

A reception with music from Mariachi El Sol will kick off the event, followed by discussions with the Consul of Mexico in Utah.

As part of the evening’s program, Socorro Rovirosa-Priego, Consul of Mexico in Utah, will discuss Global Labor Law for Immigrant/Migrant Workers in Utah, followed by a presentation on Religion and Law in the Globalized Latino World by Senator José Darío Salazar Cruz on behalf of Alejandro Ordoñez-Maldonaldo, Attorney General, Inspector and Solicitor General of Colombia. Utah Lt. Governor Greg Bell and Utah State Senator Luz Robles will introduce the speakers.
