Plein Air Artist Invitational in Zion National Park

Zion National Park and Zion National Park Foundation are hosts to twenty-five nationally known artists selected to spend the week of November 6 - 12, 2012 painting 'plein air' or outdoors in Zion National Park. Visitors are given maps as they enter the park to locations where they are likely to find artists painting the beautiful landscape in Zion. The paintings produced during the week are placed on exhibit for sale in the Zion Nature Center Saturday, November 10 through Monday, November 12. Proceeds from the event benefit youth and art programs in Zion National Park.
Included in this event are FREE daily demonstrations by each artist and 3 FREE lectures.
Saturday, November 10, 1:00 – 2:30 pm there will be a Quick Draw at Zion Lodge in the park. This is a fun and exciting event for everyone. A spirited auction of the paintings created during the Quick Draw immediately follows the public voting for artist awards.
