Belle is a dreamer who dreams of something more than the provincial life of town. But in trying to be brave and find her papa she is captured by a hideous beast in his enchanted castle. Belle makes friends with the help, such as Lumiere the candlestick, Cogsworth the clock, and Mrs. Potts the tea pot, but wants nothing to do with the cruel Beast. The Beast desperately needs her, for if he can not make her love him before the last rose petal falls, he will remain cursed forever.
