In this heady blend of modern showbiz and classic Elizabethan theater, actor Fred Graham stages a musical version of Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew. In a bid to increase box office receipts, he casts film star Lilli, his temperamental ex-wife, in the role of the shrewish Katherine. As the production unfolds, Fred and Lilli discover that while they can’t live with each other, they also can’t live without each other – just like Petruchio and Katherine in the Bard’s original work. Add a couple of bumbling gangsters, a second feuding romantic couple, and a plethora of great Cole Porter songs such as "Another Opening, Another Show," "So in Love," "Too Darn Hot," and "Faithful in My Fashion," for an irresistible entertainment experience.
