The Choir's weekly live half hour broadcast Music and the Spoken Word is the nation's longest-running network program, having run continuously since 1929. The broadcast takes place every Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. in the Tabernacle on Temple Square. Those wishing to attend should plan to be in their seats by 9:15 a.m.

From Thursday, June 30 through September 4, 2011 and during the month of December the broadcasts will be held across the street in the Conference Center, which can accommodate the larger summer and Christmas season crowds. Broadcasts are also held in the Conference Center during LDS semiannual General Conferences, which take place on the first Sunday of October and April. Admission on these two Sundays is only available to Conference ticketholders.
