Spring City Arts' 6th Annual Plein Air Painting Competition and Artist Studio Tour are scheduled to be held in Historic Spring City, Utah in August/ September. The painting event starts August 29, and concludes with a show and sale of new works on September 1. The Artist Studio Tour is on Saturday, September 1, and some studios will also be open on Monday, September 3. Spring City is located in Sanpete County, a scenic, pastoral rural landscape. This county is dotted with sheep, cattle, horses and farms, and is known for its beautiful countryside of fields, majestic mountains and wonderful blue skies. Additionally, Spring City is a National Historic District, where dozens of 1800's era peioneer houses and buildings are located in a rural hamlet setting.
