Start planning now to be a witch for a day (or night)! The 2nd Annual
“Witchstock" on H25” festival will take place on Historic 25th Street and at Union Station on Saturday, October 22nd.
Witches of all kinds are invited to attend with a recommendation that child witches under the age of 16 be gone by the bewitching hour (at dark or 6:00 pm).
You will want to be dressed in your best witch finery to be eligible to win one of several prizes that will be awarded in several categories. Merchants will decorate their windows in honor of the season and prizes will be awarded. The fun begins at 3:00pm and will continue until 10:00pm
The festival will include several fun activities at Union Station including a Witch’s Tea Party at 3pm, Night at the Museum ghost tours from 8-12am, a Witches Twilight Morp (prom) and several contests from 8-10pm.
Historic 25th Street will host a parade of witches, dance lessons to learn Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”, fortune telling, palm reading, magicians, a scavenger hunt, a ghost tour of 25th Street and many other fun activities.
Vendors will line the street with the best wares for the season. Also, retail shops will stay open until 8:00 pm so you can do a little Christmas shopping at the festival. Be sure to visit all of the participating downtown merchants and restaurants to receive special discounts offered to everyone who is in costume.
