Geology of the Grand Staircase

Nov 07 - Nov 08Springdale
Short hikes and a fascinating geologic narrative will be combined with a history of southwestern Utah. The first day will be spent on the trails of Zion. On the second day, along the Kolob Terrace, see the superlative geology outside the park and then descend the Hurricane Fault. From one of the most spectacular panoramas in the entire geologic world, view the Arizona Strip and the mountains that rim the Grand Canyon. We will end up at Lava Point.
