We stayed 2 nights at sand hollow and had a great time. The view is beautiful you can ride your quads directly from the campsite to the beach (make sure to specify you want that at the time of reservation there are 2 separate campgrounds one of them does not allow ATVs). The lake was warm and clean not crowded. The sites had power and...
We arrived on Sept 7 for two nights and found that there were only three other campsites occupied, so we had the whole place to ourselves. The campground and the bathrooms were clean and the free showes were ok....
We enjoyed our evening at Sand Hallow. We just came for 4 hours to do some fishing. We were greeted by a pleasent ranger at the window that gave us helpful information. We like the atmosphere of the area, caught a couple of fish, and are planning a weekend to visit again in the near future....
When the reservior was advertised before any building they advertised it being EQUINE FRIENDLY! We took our horses there for the first few years swam and had a blast! NOW we aren't allowed to take our animals into the water to swim because it's "culinary" and they are worried about horse poop...or that's the excuse...Now they are pushing to have DOGS not allowed?!?! Give me...
Spent Father's day weekend at this spot - campsite 15 and 16. We didn't arrive until after 9pm but had no issues checking in and finding our campsites - easy to navigate with clear directions given. Our party included two RVs truck 6 children 8 adults 1 dog 3 quads and a sandrail. Positive points - bathrooms w/- hot showers clean and open 24hrs despite...
The reservation site claims that their sites are good for RVs and tents. This is simply untrue. When we arrived in the campground there were 45 mph winds. Not the park's fault of course but it's impossible to anchor a tent in sand in that kind of wind. The "tent sites" in the Westside campground are not suitable for tents and the website should have...
We picked this park thinking we would use it as a campground to go to Zions. We never left and are already planning a return trip. What a treat - ride out of your campsite on your four wheeler walk on a deserted stretch of beach in the morning go out on your boat in the afternoon. We are returning with friends for a week....
The main campground is very nice with full hook-ups great if you have a boat because you can't ride your ATV's out of the campground! Sand Pit campground is all right but there are only 6 campsites with power and water only and nowhere to dump. Fine if your only staying a day or two! This is a great Vacation area...but when is this state...
I like visiting sandhollow but on a recent camping trip I left angry and very upset. I wanted to pay the 13 dollars for primitive camping but I was told that unless I am self contained I could not camp on the beach where the primitive camping is allowed. Doesn't needing an RV contridict the fact that it is called primitive camping. Once the warmer...
First of all I would say the place is very beautiful and nice. We had several complaints though and they should be addressed. After you have checked in at the main office you have a tag hanging in your vehicle. Multiple times when we had left the resevoir and tried to re-enter we were stuck behind people checking in. Every time we sat there for...
