Campuses Of UCAT
UCAT is a system of technical colleges located throughout Utah known as Applied Technology Colleges (ATCs). Established by the State of Utah, UCAT provides market-driven technical education through the eight ATCs that meets the needs of Utah's employers for skilled workers.
The ATCs prepare both adult and high school students to enter or advance in the workplace. Customized training is also provided to employers for their work force through UCAT's Custom Fit program.
The ATCs offer over 300 certificate programs in 77 areas of training. The broad range of long-term and short-term programs include business technology, nurse assisting, automotive technology, welding, culinary arts, computer-aided drafting, dental assisting, machine tool technology, apprenticeships, and much more.
Programs result in licensing, certification, or skill training to qualify students for specific employment in business and industry. High school students attending an ATC enroll tuition-free, and tuition for adults is minimal. Students may begin any time throughout the year and receive instruction in a self-paced format, which is ideal for working adults with limited time.
