Moab

Arches National Park

Outdoor enthusiasts love this area of Utah for its unique red rock formations and the abundant outdoor adventure. Located just four hours southeast of Salt Lake City, visitors enjoy biking, whitewater rafting, off-road adventures, hiking, rock climbing, horseback riding, and site seeing.

The city streets are full of open doors to cozy restaurants, fast food, espresso cafes, outdoor equipment shops, giftshops, and, of course, lodging for every budget.

With moderate weather in the spring and fall and warmer days through the summer months, Moab is the perfect place to enjoy several outdoor activities all within the same location. Adventures that may be of interest are; mountain biking on the Slickrock or Poison Spider bike trails, rafting the Colorado River, touring the back country in a Jeep or Hummer, or exploring the beauty of Arches and Canyonlands National Park. These are some of the activites available in Moab, but there is more here.

Arches National Park fills the landscape with thousands of intricately carved sandstone formations including actual arches of every imaginable dimension, and some beyond imagination. Canyonlands National Park gives you a feeling that you have truly arrived in the West. Vast expanses of buttes and mesas (those classic geologic formations you've seen in old cowboy films) fill every panorama. When you come, be sure to have a wide-angle lens on your camera and comfortable hiking boots on your feet.

As a complete adventure travel center, Moab does have a full-service hospital and other modern facilities to make vacations there safe, memorable, and exciting.
