US 189 and SR 113 from Provo to Heber

At the top of Provo Canyon, Deer Creek Reservoir State Park is a favorite spot for sailing, boating, fishing and windsurfing. Nearby is Soldier Hollow State Park, venue for cross-country skiing, biathlon and Nordic combined events during the 2002 Olympic Winter Games. Throughout the winter months, visitors are welcome to cross-country ski or snowshoe the 16 miles (26 kilometers) of trails that wind through the trees and hills surrounding Soldier Hollow when Olympic training or competitions are not taking place.
