Covey Center for the Arts
The Covey Center for the Arts is a beautiful new facility for the performing arts located in the heart of downtown Provo. It features a 670-seat performance hall, which has already hosted a variety of entertainers and events, including country singer Neal McCoy, Grammy-winner Kenny Loggins, international pianist George Winston and Odyssey Dance Theatre. The Covey Center also provides a performance home for the Utah Regional Ballet, Utah Valley Symphony, Utah Premiere Brass and the Wasatch Chorale.
In addition to the performance hall, the Covey Center has a 60-seat black box theatre, which features theatre favorites as well as new work by local playwrights. The art gallery has a new exhibit monthly, and a gallery stroll from 6-9 p.m. the first Friday evening of each month.
Saturday nights at the Covey Center, be sure to see The Thrillionaires theatre improv troupe. Using only suggestions from the crowd, The Thrillionaires make up quality Broadway-style musicals and other film and theater styles. If you haven't seen The Thrillionaires perform, you are missing one of the most unique experiences live theater has to offer!
The Covey Center for the Arts is open Monday through Friday from 10 am to 5 pm, as well as for performances.
